I see the notes for the patch, but not the actual patch -- it's not in my digital locker ... should I be looking somewhere else?

Just updated my X6 now I have a blank 'Welcome Screen'. Anyone else?

Scott, I appreciate the offer but I've resolved the majority of the lag by turning off the rooms display in 3D. Not sure what that has to do with anything. I started turning off everything until I got to the item causing the most trouble in 3D and "rooms" was the culprit. Give it a shot, I would be curious to know if it speeds up your lag as well.
