Contracts, Clauses and Exclusions.
I am reaching out to General Contractors in the SF Northbay offering BIM services with Chief Architect. I do have many projects behind me. Being an Interior Designer, I have utilized drafting and BIM for all my projects for over 5 years. I have learned a few lessons on what to include in my contracts. I still have not found an adequate contract form. Being somewhat new to drafting as a sole profession, do any professional drafters direct me to resources of contract forms they use?

Eric:
you will find a great reluctance to share due to the legal liabilities etc
there have been prior threads where contracts and clauses and disclaimers were shared
but no matter what you find or cobble together it is highly recommended to find
an attorney who specializes in construction law to review it and create the final version

Eric:
I can send you my contracts "folder"
It won't load here so send me your email address at LBUTTERY @ YAHOO .COM
I have retired, so these are now "outdated"
If you can sort thru this "mess" you may find some useable clauses
I had a hard drive fail and so I collected all my backups and loaded them
into one place, but no time or desire to sort the "mess" out
again, have an attorney review your contract, disclaimers etc before using with clients

Standard contract forms are fairly easy to find. I've learned to include more of what's not included.
I may have two paragraphs of what's included and four of what's not.Greg

Thanks, I was thinking of more of a website. Are there National Associations of Drafters?

@Greg, my attorney would beat me with my own fist if I showed him that "contract".
