    DBX Default Graphic Setting

I know I'm missing something, but how do I set defaults on dbx to display "Standard" view instead of "Vector". Vector is an absolute dog on my box, with simple material changes taking 30-45 seconds.

Jon, let me see if I can do this by memory......... Nuts......... It's either in preferences or defaults....... Open camera settings and there are some drop downs that let you change default from vector to standard ...... Let me know if you can't get if and I will be more specific in am.

    Jon,,
As far as I know, there is no way to set the default view type for a dbx.
It seems to always default to the vector view.
If it's any help, your normal view type shortcuts will work un the dbx just the same as a normal 3D view.
I use RV for a render view and RV for a vector view.

Maybe I misunderstood the question, but if you do

DEFAULTS<CAMERA<GENERAL CAMERA<ORTHOGRAPHIC RENDERING TECHNIQUES, you can set the default so your 3d views and elevation views are in standard view.
