Small Macro question

Here is what I am looking to do. I am trying to take the "length" of the stairs and have a macro that shows it in "ft-in". I got the object name "length" from Ruby and tried making a text macro to show the run of the stairs. However, (as an example) I don't want it to read 145"....I want it to read 12'-1".
