Send to Layout - black and white plan but colored in layout
X6
I have a black and white floor plan but when I send to layout, it displays in color. I don't want to turn off color in layout because I'm using color elsewhere.
I went back to the send to layout options but there's not color/back/white option there.
I checked the open object in the layout but nothing there either.
I don't what to do a screen capture in black and white then import as a picture in case I make further changes in the plan.
Am I missing something?Eric Anderson

In preferences, check color off is B&W or grayscale. Also make sure your print driver is set to what you want.

Perry - when I turn off color to black/white or gray scale in preferences, it prints the entire layout in bl/wht or grayscale. I want the layout to be in color except the floor plan view sent to the layout in black/white.
In other words, your layout pages has 2 images. You want the page/layout to have color except for one image to be gray scale/blk/wht. I'd prefer to not take a screen shot of the blk/wht image since it will no longer be linked to the plan. When I send the image to the layout from the plan, it was blk/wht but when it appears on the layout, it shows in color.
I need my solution to be specific to the view/image on the layout but not the entire layout itself.Eric Anderson

Eric,
You use the term "image" - are you really sending an image to layout, or are you sending a floor plan to layout?
The correct terminology makes things a bit easier.
If you need to show a b&w floor plan in layout with other items in color, you will need to create a layer set (in plan view) with all the layers set as black and then use that layer set for that particular view sent to layout.Glenn

Yes, Glen's b&w layer set is the best way to do this. Get familiar with Layer sets as soon as you can. And shut off the make new layer set option when sending to layout.
