Want to create a etched band on glass shower walls and door

we have a shower design laid out, but we want the center area to be frosted glass. Above and below this "modesty zone" will still be clear.
How would I do this in chief?

I would think one way would be to "lay" a very thin p-solid on the glass using the material "glass". You might have to give it a little color and then changed the transparency till it suits you. A bit time consuming, but I think it should work.

you can now use the wall material painter to apply a zone to your glass shower wall. Then use a textured material or just adjust "glass tempered"

You might try a single layer glass wall, and just use a Wall Covering for the frosted band.

Modesty Zone? Why would you want to do that?

I used a 3d molding polyline with 3 stacked "moldings" - CA58 works well. top molding was at 84" bottom at 64", center was at 64" bottom at 24" -material was "corsica glass" with transparency down to 25%, bottom section starts at 24" and goes down to 4". Both top and bottom are "tempered glass".
