Have you read the manual?
If so, what is it you don't understand?
If not, then read the manual.Glenn

I see that you are new to the forum and probably new to Chief. I'm guessing also that you are using the term "components list' generically.
Chief does create a component list for most objects but not for polyline solids or slabs. Most objects, however, will still list to the material list except for polyline solids. If your piling is not there, I assume you created them out of polyline solids so they will not list and there is no way to do so as you can not manually insert lines to the material list. if they are slabs or posts, they will be listed as concrete or if posts - concrete or I-steel posts, etc in the material list. You need to specify how you created them or what your using.
Other than above, the only way to achieve what you want is to export the material list to excel and insert the lines there.Gerry

My Polyline Solids/Slabs do list in the Materials List and if you double block them (Architectural Block), open their Object's dbx and check "Treat as One Object", they will acquire a Components dbx. Not ideal with the Components dbx, as you will need to manually enter what you want.
