    building framing only for addition not exisitng

    is there a setting, you tube video,
    or will I have to delete the existing framing area???

    Grant:

    with an antique version like ver 10 you will have to manually delete the framing
    or use another wall type that has an airgap for the main layer

    X6 now allows for framing wall by wall, roof plane by roof plane, and same
    for headers over doors and windows

    Just don't have any framing in your existing wall setup and it won't frame.
