"terrian window" next to cursor
I brought an X5 plan into X6 to work on some revisions and I have the "terrian icon" (I hope that's the correct term) showing next to the cursor. I'm not sure why it's there since it wasn't there when the plan was open in X5 and now I'm in the "Default Config." in X6. I know (or I think) there's a way to turn this on and off, but for the life of me I can't remember how or can I find it in the help. I'm sure this is due to not knowing where to look or what to ask. Before posting this thread I closed X6, then reopened it along with the same plan and the "terrian icon" is no longer next to the cursor----go figure. I think someone is putting something extra in my coffee! Anyway, I guess I'm still asking the question. How do you go about turning this icon (or for that matter ANY ICON) on and off next to the cursor?

Larry,
That icon means that you need to rebuild the Terrain.
You can make it disappear by either rebuilding the terrain (preferred) or turning off the display of all indicators at Preferences...Edit...Behaviours...Behaviour Indicators.Glenn

The preferred method is to turn automatic rebuild of terrain on. However, the assumption is that the automatic rebuild was turned off because the rebuild was unacceptably slow. If that is the case then simply rebuild it when you need to. The icon is your friend.

Glenn .... Thanks. I'll have the "little guy" in my brain write that down on the chalk board. What I don't understand is why it didn't show back up after I closed the program and then reopened it. Have a great day.
Doug......Thanks and yes the terrain is quite large.Larry Sweeney

I would say the icon disappeared when you reopened the plan due to the terrain rebuilding upon file open. Just a guess, but seems plausible.
