Vector View default line weight X6

I'm having big time problems getting a vector view elevation to go to layout with the proper line weight. I can not change this crazy default line weight (65534). I have tried everything to change and everything to get the line weights to work out without using the view defaults (which leaves the lines too light). How do I change this default? If I enter a number and tab it goes right back to that number. It's driving me nuts. I've noticed this in another layout but I was able to work around it without any issues. Does anyone know what I can do with this?

I guess I should also mention that this is a plan file and layout I did in X5 on a Windows machine and now I'm running X6 on a Mac.

I can't answer why that's happening - but that number is essentially 256 squared - aka 16 to the 4th power. It sounds suspiciously like a binary value.

It's a known bug in X6. Just type in a "1", followed by a space, and then the number you want it to be.

You sir are the man. Now can you tell me why I can no longer edit line weight in my layout?

If your trying to use "edit layout line" in layout --- same bug &chief is aware of both problems and said will be fixed in next update.
