Invisible wall that won't go away.

I've recently upgraded from X1 to Home Designer Pro and I'm encountering a very strange issue. An invisible wall has appeared in my plan and is very stubborn, thwarting any attempt at removing it. Delete does not work.

It has really strange attributes, it duplicate when I drag it outside of the room, and moving/deleting it warps it back to where it originally appeared. The incredible strangeness of it all leads me to believe this is some sort of setting I've accidently turned on, or something.

    I am on windows XP.

That wall is there because you have an island room. Just put it on another layer and turn it off.

You can also draw your own hidden wall in another location and delete the auto if the location auto generated one causes issues.

I've recently upgraded from X1 to Home Designer Pro

    Just a clarification:

this is actually a "downgrade" as the HD products are sub-sets of Chief feature wise

so even though PRO 2012 is newer than Chief X1 it overall has fewer features

but the features it does have are newer/better than they were in X1

also note that HD products can edit chief plans if the edit flag is set in chief
BUT if there is a feature being used that chief has and the HD product doesn't then you can see that feature but not edit it

I suspect your invisible wall issue has been identified with the postings above

And that whole island room issue is bullcrap. It's very unprofessional to have some dumb-arse phantom invisible wall show up on a drawing. At the very least Chief should automatically make this wall dissapear. I don't get it, were island rooms an issue in any other versions of Chief way back to Chief '97?-BB

    Brad:

yes, island rooms have ALWAYS been an issue (at least since ver 9.5)

in prior versions chief would just act funcky if there was an island room

I, and others advocated that chief auto-place the invisible wall to cure the island room issue

I don't think it should be made invisible by default
users would then be complaining about it being there and not knowing it was there

it is very easy to select a wall and make it invisible
