    how to show stacked stairs

    Hi,
I often have stairs that are stacked, and don't understand how to show them in CA. For example, on the 1st floor I have one set going from 1st to second, and another set going from 1st to basement, stacked directly on top of each other. My solution has been to draw the stairs correctly in CA for the purposes of sections and 3d views, but then have to draw another version in CAD which I show in plan, so that I can show part of each stair with a "discontinuous" squiggle part way (to show that one stair is going up, and the other down. Is this the solution that everyone uses? It's a waste of time, and often I forget to turn off the stair layer when printing, so I end up with double sets of stairs. Is there a simple way to show stacked stairs that corresponds to the way stairs are typically shown in drawings? I'm using X1. If this can be done more easily in a newer version let me know, as I'm considering upgrading and that could be a reason to do it.

    Thanks much
