X6 beta no mirror reflections
Just installed and there are no mirror reflections in standard view. I have show reflections checked for both preview and final view. Is there something I am missing? Is it my video card? (Nvidia) I am bummed.......

I get a reflection. But, I do not get a reflection from the mirror shown in the reflection. Perhaps that is asking too much?

There is at least one mirror that I found in the library awhile back that didn't give a reflection. I was told that there was a problem with the symbol but that it was going to be fixed. I don't recall which mirror it was.

Mirror only works with some lib. items but not all. I make all my mirrors from p-solids and they won't reflect. I think they will fix this on final release.
Also you have to turn it on in preferencesPerry

I wish CA would explain what it takes to make it work. I am using the mirror material in the core library.
When I checked it's properties there is an asterisk that states it only works in ray trace views. For one of
the features in it's released video I am surprised the method to make it work is properly "reflected"!

OK, just inserted a mirror from the library and it works. It has the same mirror material with the same asterisk indicating it only works in ray trace views. We need to know what is going on here. The reflections in std. render was one of the reasons I renewed my SSA. I was hoping to use the effect in a new bathroom with custom mirrors. Need to know the secret!!!
edit - I tried copying and pasting the material from the working mirror to the non-working mirror to no avail.Dennis Gavin CR, CKBR

Chief has told me previously, it will be fixed in the final release. It won't work for me either on p-solids.

Psolids with mirror material works for me. All I am saying is there was one particular mirror, do not know which one it was, that did not work with the reflections, I did not try to take that particular mirror material and put it on solid to verify. For all I know I am completely wrong, it just seems that I did find one particular mirror that did not work as advertised.
