X6 Another Custom Back Splash Bug/Problem?
Not sure why I'm running into these BS problems and no one else but here goes. If a plan has an interior and exterior wall that the cabinets are set against the Custom BS will be created on either the exterior wall or the interior wall but not both.
BACK SPLASH 4.zipThe purpose of Government is to control the common resources, not the common man.

Select the custom back splash tool and click on the other wall. You will end up with a vertical line where the int./ext. walls meet.

Thanks William, Yes, you will indeed.
Did you get the same result? That it would not display on both wall types at the same time? The purpose of Government is to control the common resources, not the common man.

Same results in a new plan. Each wall is treated separately.

Even when an exterior wall is broken the custom back splash will be applied to one wall at a time.

One wall at a time, did you ever get it to work on both at the same time? I'm getting mixed results. Sometimes yes and other times some weird anomalies.
Current plan they don't quite meet in the middle. Not a big thing but on one plan the gap in middle cannot be filled even by dragging the BS to fill, on another that blank can be filled by dragging. The purpose of Government is to control the common resources, not the common man.

Wow, this feature is turning out worst then I thought. I just haven't seen any problems like this, but have only used it a few times now.

Have you also noticed that the Custom Backsplash behaves differently depending on whether it is drawn inside a room definition or not.
Try drawing a room with a wall of cupboards and then using the Custom Backsplash tool.
Delete the Backsplash' then delete a wall or make it No Room Def and use the tool again - the results are different.
It looks like this tool is based on the Wall Material Region tool which displays similar behaviour.Glenn

Yes, with "No room def" the backsplash fills the complete wall except behind the cabinets.
Now it is acting like the "Wall material region".William Page Architects A.I.A.
