Annotation Sets
Is there a way to link the annotations to layer sets so you don't have to remember to click on both when you move from default to framing sets etc.?
Thanks

Bill,
Your question should be "is there a way to link the layer sets to the annotation sets".
And the answer is yes, because Chief X5 already does this.
Use your annotation sets to take control of all your settings, including the layer sets.
Change your anno set and it changes your layer set - not visa versa.Glenn

This is not a new feature...been around for a while. Go to the anno set dbx and change the default layer set for that anno set. I think it's the last item in the dbx. I have all of mine set up that way...back to x4 I think.

Thanks guys,
Guess I have to change my way of thinking.
Since I'm not real busy right now, it gives me an excuse to check out Scott's videos. I did see where he had one on annotations.

If you access plan views from layout like a lot of users do, you don't have to be concerned w/ layer sets or anno sets; Chief remembers both. For section/elevation views & CAD Details, user must remember to close those views w/ the proper layer & anno sets active, & you never have to give layer or anno sets much of a thought anymore. (Rarely do I change layer or anno sets in section/elevation cameras & details.) Those views open w/ the last active layer set AND anno set.
Thanks, Jim
