User Catalog Symbol Updating

Is there an easy way to update your existing cad details in your user catalog? I am currently having to delete the detail from my user catalog and adding the updated version from scratch.

As far as I know, there is not. Symbols can be right-clicked and "opened", which brings up the Symbol Specification dbx - but there appears to be no similar functionality for CAD blocks.
