Roofing tool in bottom toolbar?
Watched a video where they were in 3d view using a tool on the bottom toolbar to change a wall from a hip to a gable.
Where is this tool and how do you get it to show up?Swanson Homes

It is at bottom of screen and will only show if a wall is selected.

The videos we watch are not 100% gold, but if we find a gold nugget, the time spent viewing has a value.
We can please some of the people some of the time, but we can't please all the people all of the time..... but I will keep trying.

I did select a wall in 3d, but I'm not getting any icon that will let me toggle the roof. Is there some special way to select the wall that makes that icon appear?

In the video I see him click on the wall the first time and then he does something to make the handles appear then that different set of icons appear. What is he doing.

He's probably hitting the tab button. In 3D, the first thing that usually selects is the room and not the wall. It can be really hard to tell the difference though.

Michael probably explained the issue. You must be sure you have selected the wall and not the room to get the icon to show.

If I'm not mistaken, you have to have auto rebuild roofs turned on for that button to appear.

Pay attention to the status bar. It will tell you whether you have selected the room or the wall. Also, you can change this in your preferences so that walls always select before rooms.
