    Default Walls

    Hi All,
I have setup a default external wall which I will use on multiple plans.
I used it in my first plan with no problem but when I select a new plan I will need to set it up again in the defaults.
Is there any way of having this wall available as a default wall in multiple plans.
Can I save it somewhere and have it accessible in the default walls dropdown.

    Version 15 -
    Chief Architect Premier x5.

    Thanks

You'll probably have to change your profile plan. You can find it by going to edit>preferences>new plans> profile plan. There, you'll see what the profile plan is you're using. I'm not looking at the program but that that should be close. The profile plan will be in your X5 Premier Data folder in the templates folder.

    Thanks Tommy,
I have done that and not that template with the walls I designed will be used for all new plans.
Is there any way to apply it to an existing Plan do you know ??

Open a Plan that has that Wall Type and Right_Click the wall. Select "Copy/Paste".

Then open the Plan you want to use and "Paste" the wall in the Plan. It will now exist as a Wall Type in that Plan.

There is also a "Export/Import Wall Definitions" in the File Menu. Once you've exported them to a file you can import them into any other Plan. Maybe a future version of Chief will allow us to save a Wall Definition to the Library - that would be cool.
