Second floor platform sticking out thru roof all over with room ht set @ 2"

I built the second floor with derive second floor from first floor then set floor ht to 2"
but when I look at the elevation the floor platform is sticking out all over and going thru the roof.
It looks like my walls with brick are going up thru the roof. I can pull them down then it tells me I have a negative ceiling ht.
    What am I missing here?
I would send a pic and plan but for some reason can't zip files and my jpeg won't send.

Could it be that I don't want it to derive second floor from first floor?

Hit f12 to reframe the walls. walls always stop at a roof if nothing else is stopping them

Gary, you now have room definition in what is actually the attic. Give the 2nd. floor (attic) room/s a "room definition" of attic and your floor problem might go away. If that doesn't help, then there could be a setting in your wall defaults that you changed that could cause this also.

floor ht 2" ?,,,, do you mean thick as in "L" on structure tab,,, uncheck ceiling above if this second floor is to be an attic,,,,, also could the roof be too low allowing this 2" to be above it

A posted picture or a plan would tell us more than a few words, about what is going on with your model.
