CA X1 compatibility with windows 8

Will Chief Architect be providing a software patch so that X1 can be operated on Windows 8?

I would guess--no. X1 was a long time ago, I'm not sure they even support it anymore. Maybe someone here has it working for them.

I installed X1 within Windows 7 x64 where it ran, just not very well or stably at all. It was designed to run within XP and VISTA where it runs better. I have no idea about windows 8 but I seriously doubt it.

My PC has several hard drives, I run older apps on XP x32 and newer apps within Windows 7 x64. Personally I plan to add another hard drive for Windows 8 and that is probably what you should do if you want to run antique software,

Thank you for your response. When I attempted to run X1 on windows 8, windows 8 crashed and was corrupted. I had to return the computer and exchange it.
