Come on guys, this is nutty. CA is doing you a favor. Ca is telling you that if you define the room as a deck, they are going to put 2x6 decking down for the deck, it is porous, it will leak, CA is advising you not to use this. If you want a waterproof deck, call it a balcony and all will be well, you will not get the DECK OVER ROOM ALERT.
