    Front entry

I need to create this front entry and don't have a clue on how to start. Has anyone had to create this type of entry, if so how?
    Thanks all,
    Tom

A custom molding applied to the door will do the hard part plus a back-set wall for the round top door to be in.

    Jintu,

Great solution! How did you get the brick to distribute evenly along the molding? Often times when I use brick on moldings like that they tend to bunch up at the arch part. Great job, I like it!

That my friend, was done masterfully. And your explanation on your method was short and sweet...... And I think I almost have it figured out..... I said almost.

The nub walls have a precise length to them to hide the outermost brick arch, correct?

But I must admit my confusion on how you got the stone arch. Is there a super thick wall you are using or is it a two level structure?

    Hi all:

Just rotate the texture if it is made horizontally.Click image for larger version.

Getting the right texture with arches in Chief depends on the number of segment that it creates, right now they are just too many @ 36 segments. The left arch is made from line tool converted to polyline with only 18 segments (36 / 2). The brick is almost evenly distributed. the 3rd 72" width door looks acceptable (72 / 2 = 36 segments).

Suggestion: Chief should give us an additional tool or option within the dialog box to let us assign the number of arch segments.

Jintu, thanks for the additional information. Yes, I definitely like the first arch in your above example. Too many times with my arches and brick the end result is the center arch you created. So to create the first arch you didn't use it as a casing but just custom polyline? I will have to remember this trick, it looks much more realistic. Thanks again for elaborating on the moldings.
