Tool Bar Missing Completely??
I have just loaded X5 onto my new Sony VAIO Duo 13, and created my first plan. After saving it I reopened it and got a error message saying the file was corrupt and it would not open. I went into the archive folder and retrieved auto backup file and was able to open it without issue...thank goodness! My problem now is that I have no "Tool Bars" present? I was thinking it was possibly the plan so I closed it out and started with a new plan and I have the same problem. I remember this happening years ago in X2, I have gone through all the videos on tool bar settings and modifications and have found nothing to rectify this. can someone please give me the secret on how to turn them back on. I am certain I will feel stupid once I'm told and remember.
My new device is the following (when creating the first plan in it, I was amazed how slick it was working with a digitizer pen with in Chief)

Ted, close Chief, then go into your Chief Architect Premier X5 Data Folder, and delete or rename the "Toolbars" folder, then start Chief. You should get the default toolbars back.

The loss of toolbars and file corruption is a red flag. I would check your hard disk for errors. I've had brand new computers have hard drive failures before and what you are saying makes me wonder if the hard drive on that new system is failing.
