Porch post

In making proch post I have used the "railing" dbx. It works great in elevation views, but my complaint is in plan view. It does not show the post, just a wall. I have had to put cad cross boxes to show the 4x4 post which is a pain. Is there something I am doing wrong or is there a work around?

There are some posts that will put the x in them but most do not, until chief fixes this , you can put an "x" box on top of the post. Check some of the manf'r millwork items.

Thanks everyone..............I never have unchecked the default to show the post. It is the simple things that trip me up sometimes.
