    Fully Windowed Building

    Hello,

I am trying to make a Building that is covered with windows. The issue I have is when I try to cover a wall with windows it works great. Its when I come to the end of the wall that is intersecting with another wall the program puts a exterior wall instead of allowing me to butt windows up together. Is there a way to unlock this or a way past it. I would like to just build box of windows if it would let me. thanks

Open your plan. Go to Default Settings - Windows - Minimum Separation and make sure it is set to zero inches as opposed to the default 2", that will help.

It might help if you post your plan. It depends on exactly what it is you want to build, how you want to build it. Are these, typical nail-fin windows going into a wood framed wall, or are we talking about more like a curtain wall that is not bearing and is supported by some kind of structural frame? There are different techniques to handle different objectives.

I am building it from scratch. I am not building a normal building. I am building a 3d Overview of a floor and I want my walls to be only windows.

So you want it to appear that you are looking through windows? Or do you just not want the wall to block the view of the interior?

One technique I've used is to build the walls and use a 100% transparent material(s) for the walls. This allows you to build 'rooms' out of those transparent walls and place windows in them as well.
