    new computer - hardware lock?

I got a new computer because my old one passed away sometime over the weekend. I had forgotten not to install the hardware lock prior to installing the actual program and now cannot run the program. It says that I cannot register and to contact the system administrator....who the heck is that if not me......and I don't know what to do. I cannot seem to uninstall the hardware lock as it does not appear on my list of programs or devices. Now what?

plug harware lock into new machine ,turn on , open CA and it should bring up the registration screen. It may ask for a emergancy pass, at which time you have to use that. But as I understand it if you use a hardware lock you can have CA on any number of machines, but only use it with the lock plugged in.

You are the "Administrator" of your PC unless you are on a networked version (Unlikely), so you may need to "tell" Windows by right-clicking on the exe. file for Chief and under "Properties" select "Run as Administrator" there.

This is a security "feature" that was added in VISTA and Windows 7 and otherwise, is what it is and is unlike XP in that respect.
