    How do I create a attic room over a garage

    Place your roof where it needs to be then add the 2nd floor. The walls will only extend to where you have the roof. If you want some wall on the 2nd flr then use the ceiling height to control where your roof is. Lots of ways of doing it.

    Perry is correct, I would add as clarification that you cannot actually create living space in the "Attic" or <A> level, that is why you create a second floor.
    You have to understand that the software does not "know", "Judge" or "Predict" conditions, that is our job to do.
    You create the space and then create the actual room using provided tools.

    All ways of creating a room in existing attic space include making that space a "floor" whether a blank or otherwise is ordered.
