    House Wizzard

OK, so I was trying to play around with the house wizard space planning tool, but am I right we can't change the color or any properties of those boxes?? If true, seems odd.

For instance I don't like the radius on the corners, but no way to change that. Also, I typically color code my space planning for common areas vs bedroom etc (typical see below).

Use your own colored polyline solids.

Yeah, you are right, that really all I am doing with Vectorworks - but I thought in Chief that feature can lead to walls/roof etc. I really don't need it, but I thought I would try it. Surprised then the boxes can't be modified at all it seems.

With CA. you can create walls from the rooms just go to tools and then "House wizard" then click on "Build House". But room edges need to touch or overlap.

    Hi Johnny,
This is really not a mature part of the program, but you can butt like boxes together to create more complex shaped rooms. It's really not as limiting as it seems on the surface. The real beauty of it is that you can develop walls and doors automatically based on a theme, or a stile.

I can develop models as diverse as a usonian home or a compact two story, and have a very good start on a floor plan. This is of course in contrast with developing a box, and tortuously fitting rooms inside of it.

The house wizard can work well in this way.
