Custom countertop get rid of backsplash

I have kitchen with a section of custom countertop partially against the wall and partially in open space and I wanted to toggle off the backsplash and when I open the top I can't find a place to shut off the backsplash like I can for the other cabs in my kitchen design. I just want to have a tile backsplash down to countertop height and get rid of the the countertop- styled backsplash! One other thing where CA is putting the backsplash (all the wall connections) I would not want to have a tile backsplash. Thanks

The backsplash is modified on the cabinet, not the custom counter top.
