Ahhhhh, I see, I usually don't, but typically I have a fence around the back yard that would help. Tommy's thought isn't bad, but not good, it will not show any changes in elevation, a VERY VERY short fence could work but probably the best way is a TERRAIN CURB............ but I would always listen to any suggestion Glenn might have. I did not understand what you were trying to do.

The videos we watch are not 100% gold, but if we find a gold nugget, the time spent viewing has a value.

We can please some of the people some of the time, but we can't please all the people all of the time..... but I will keep trying.

I just tested the terrain feature that you are using. It does not matter if I start on the terrain region or start on terrain and go to terrain region (with a driveway), I get the glitch.............. if it is not a flat grade. I would probably use a terrain curb.......... it will follow the slopes, it can be as tall or wide as you want, it can be any material............. it will travel well over pline sidewalks............ but it will not travel well over driveways or centerline sidewalks............

Just so you know, this not what I do. I was simply stating that I've seen other plans where prople have done this. I generally only show terrain in the lot I'm working with which is not what the poster is asking about. I have shown terrain outside of the property but am not concerned about showing the property line in 3D. I show this in a site plan with topo turned on if necessay.

    Scott:

fences are not always on the PL

I have 15'+ on rear and right and 5' on left

this allows me to mow around the fence and maintain the fence etc

Do your neighbors do the same thing, and if so, is there now a 10' strip of inaccessible land on the left and right side? We always put fences on P.L.

Sounds like a good way to grant an access easement. Of course if you want to do that.........
