Scott,

Obviously you have the Sheet Names saved on each of several pages. What page do you have the Sheet Index on?

I have the sheet index on sheet 0, therefore it shows on every page.

General Notes - sometimes in layout, mostly in plan
Legends - in plan
Sheet Index - on cover page or page 1
Site Map - if used it's on cover page or page 1
Detail Pages - typical details in separate detail plan that uses "CAD Detail Management", project specific details in project plan file
Sheet Names - on each sheet in layout

in the default layout is the title block on sheet 0 and sheet numbers and titles on each page

Yes, they all reside in my layout template, I never have a slowdown problem that way, except when I have a lot of round detailed type railings.

Specifications are all there, too. A text block for each CSI section.

I really like the way Perry and Richard think. I've been working on my Layout to get up to their level. I can see a big time savings - very little to have to send to layout and arrange.

Pretty much everything except legends in the layout template. I only have the Sheet Index on the lower right hand portion of the first sheet. I don't like using macros for sheet numbering. I want more control over that.

Richard, when you say specifications are you referring to typical plan specs, or the "whole enchilada" detail finish specs on full size sheets - as part of your architectural plan document?

Would anyone be willing to post a couple screen shots of what they are doing? I'd love to see this too.

If Perry or Richard (or anyone else) would care to share their Layout Template - that would be better than a Banana Split

I use both ,Macro's for page numbers ( 11 of 22) and place text for pages (A1, A2, S1, S2 ). Very easy to insert or delete pages using A1.1, A1.2 method. Wendy's trick.
