The problem with CA is that if you can't snap a dimension to the geometry, you can't snap a CAD line to it either. Both ways, we lose accuracy - even if it's only the precision that matters.

One of my biggest issues with Chief and on my "Wish List" since v9 or and before. Glad you bring it up again, live elevations with real snap points would be all I would need to make the next X-upgrade worth my annual SSA Fees (2 licences). I wish Chief would pole the users (not just the one's on Chieftalk) in their data base on this and other dimensioning and wall joining issues and I'd bet that if they fixed/improved those areas that there would be little doubt that Chief is the best professional residential cad program on the market.-BB
