CAD Lines
Ok, so I am simply trying to use CAD lines for references between my 1st floor and attic. However, when I draw a CAD line on the attic level, even though I indicate CAD default layer, if I change to 1st floor its gone (I have CAD default layer on). There has to be some nuance I don't know. I watched layer video again, and played with it for 20+ min. I just don't see how the same layer has something displayed in 1 floor vs not on "A" (vice-versa) - yet both floors have the same layer turned on???

When you create something on one level it does not automatically create that thing on other levels.
Remember, these are floor "LEVELS" not layers.

OK, so I guess on other floors you can't display items from the other floors unless you use display reference or copy to that "level"?...is that right? So how do you show the roofline if you want on the attic?...maybe you can't....other than display reference.

If you are working with multiple levels and want to have consistent reference points - roof lines or whatever - put them on their own layer and copy ctrl/alt/v to each level. I use this for grid lines.
