not to hijack the thread at all, but the Wright remodel had a site in color which is another reason overall transparencies would be nice in Chief.
although I wouldn't have made all the trees a perfect circle shape - but still looks better than a typical B&W site.
AND I will add that I am very glad the trim wasn't light pink, it must have been sunset light as you said.X5

Semi Transparent Spheres would work for those trees. But you'd need to use an aerial view.
OTOH, you could use a circle with a cross-hatch fill (colored of course) and mark it as "Transparent Fill".
Unless I miss my guess we already have what you are asking for.Joseph P. Carrick, Architect - AIA

You are missing the point of transparent color. I want a colored (user defined adjustable opacity%) polyline so I can see what is below it. Not hatches or dots or ?. These would be used for colored presentations.

Yeah Joe, I am doing that to some degree now (elevation shadows). I typically do color space-planning on the subject site plan for my first phase design process, and I sure love being able to add landscaping elements that turn the drawing "alive" almost. Its a multi-layer transparency we need to duplicate this type of work. I really think they are going to add the transparencies soon, since the Windows/OSX API supports it without too much issue at all.

I finally got a chance tonight to watch the video about the restoration of Frank Lloyd Wright's Boynton House here in Rochester, NY. I highly recommend requesting this at your local library ("Frank Lloyd Wright's Boynton House: The next hundred years"). Incredible job on the restoration, plus beautiful interior work restoring the original woodwork, leaded glass windows (230 of them!), and furniture.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention, Lew.Kathleen Moore
