    Multiple cabinet modifications

I have Home Designers Interiors 2014 and woul like to change the finish and door style, countertops, hardware, etc to all cabinets in a room at the same time. I have selected all the cabinets, but I am not able to "open object" on the group like I can an individual cabinet

    Any suggestions?

You may be selecting more than just the cabinets. Select the base cabinet icon then press shift and draw a marguee select around your room, this should only select the base cabinets. Then make
    changes. then select the uppers.

Hd Interiors has a very limited set of features - selling for $79

you should post your query on the Hometalk forum
where users of your software may be better positioned to offer solutions or tips

the Chieftalk forum is aimed at users of the Chief Premier product
while HD users may find some benefit here the Hometlak forum would be a better choice

HD PRO users would definitely find it useful to follow the chieftalk forum

For fun I just watched a video CA provides for your product. Frankly, I was SHOCKED how many options they give you for $79. Yes, you can change your cabinet styles or materials.

So now I have a question for everyone else. For the most part the plans I do have more to do with the structure of the home - not small particulars. Why wouldn't I just outfit my draftsmen with say a $500 version of Home Designer Pro? Can we exchange files between us so long as the setting don't include features only available on CA Premier?

I'm actually surprised by how much you get for those "lesser" (scaled down) product types.

    Johnny:

yes, there are many PRO's who use HD PRO for their business

yes, Chief Premier users can import those plans and edit them
then set a flag so that the HD user can import the plan and continue working with it

yes, there are limitations, such only being able to read objects that involve features
    that PRO doesn't have

yes, there is an 18 x 24 page limit but create the layout at 1/8 scale and then enlarge at
the copy shop to get 1/4" scale

yes, there is a 1 page limit for layout and no real layout tools but there are workarounds for that also

    Thank You everyone.

Unfortunately, when I select the base cabinet icon, the program then wants to place a base cabinet in the design rather than allowing me to place a marquee in the area. I will check with hometalk.

    I appreciate the responses.
