    Oriel Window in Mansard Roof

Anyone have an idea how to accomplish this? I realize it's a vague question. For Chief's purposes, essentially it would be a box window inserted into a 34 in 12 inch pitch roof. I can't get it to look remotely correct.

    Hi Adam,
I would take the dormer tool to start with. Set up the height ( try 80") and width( your discresion), wall type, style of roof, etc
Make sure you have an interior wall behind the location of dormer placement. there will be an error message if you dont.

    HTH,
email me direct if you want further help,

Thanks for the advice. I don't see how it's possible. This type of window, by design, must protrude from the walls and roofs. I can get something to kind of look close but can't move it away from the roof.

Trying to get this type of window/roof system to attach to a steep roof plane 34/12, hopefully without having to make it a symbol.
