How do I get material patterns to show up in my elevations for layout?

Hello all, I am new to CA last month. I have done a pretty good job of discovering CA without asking for help. I have read many of your posts and they have been very helpful. I have watched hours and hours of videos and they have been life savers! However, I am in the final stages of designing and documenting a house and I cannot figure out how to get material patterns to show up on my 2D elevations for Layout. Thanks in advance for your time.
