I have made sure it isn't white and all my patterns appear to be set to 0.01 in scale.

However, I must have messed around with something enough yesterday that this morning, I opened my layout page back up and some of the stucco had a pattern and the tile area I have had a herringbone pattern that I remember changing the pattern to just to see if something would show up. However, no stone yet and only pattern on some areas. Also, now I can't change the herringbone back to "tile". So my rookie status will remain in effect for at least another day

    Doug,

I think you will need to post a simple example at the least (including .pat file). Or maybe you have already sent it to William? It might be that you will need to stay within the available patterns packaged with CA.

Thanks to a William, the problem has mostly been solved. I am used to doing a lot of SketchUp models and the paint can is your friend in SketchUp...less friendly friend in Chief if you don't know what you're doing!! Once I reset all my materials back to their defaults I was able to get the patterns to show on my layout drawings. The only remaining sticking point is that when I am working in my model on elevations in vector view, the patterns still do not show up. I have them toggled on and I refresh the screen and nothing happens. In and out of the program, restart computer...nothing helps with this. But, I am happy that I can now finish my CD's and then start the next project and have a few minutes during which to work on the pattern problem some more.

Thanks to all for your help, especially William for taking a chunk of my plan, laughing like mad, then telling me how I should fix my screw-up!!

By the way, for those that may be searching for this solution, William had my pick my walls using the paint can tool, but the catch to setting your materials back to the original, is the check the pick box titled "use default material".

Thanks again for everyone taking the time to help.
