Gambrel Roof = Vigorous Hair Pulling

Please take a look at the back of the house, larger gable/gambrel roof - left side. I cannot for the life of me get to two to connect. Joined or not is irrelevant.... it the pointy fascia that keeps popping up that is the issue. I have begun to think that the "join roofs" tool was designed by an evil programmer so that is only works when your head is tilted at 5.25D.
