I believe the thread that you are talking about was deleted by the original author.
If you are still having problems with cabinet backsplashes, I would encourage you to post a new thread or report them to tech support.Dermot Dempsey

I deleted it because I wasnt going to be verbally attacked on chieftalk when I was merely asking a legitimate question regarding an issue in chief X5. I always ask questions on here before calling to report it as a bug because I dont want to waste chief architects time if I can solve it myself or if its a user issue. I was appauled by the two members making degrading comments about me on here so I didnt tolerate it. If chief didnt delete it, I will as the original author.

Chad,
Make a copy of your plan. Delete any upper and lower floors. check to see if they are causing the issue. Then use edit area to remove portions of the floor around the room that the issue is in.
Then send us the plan so we can help, maybe.William Page Architects A.I.A.

William, thanks for the offer to help. I was using a generic 'new plan' that was getting those backsplash results, which is why I never posted a plan figuring everyone has the same standard X5 'new plan' option. I closed and reopened chief and I wasnt able to duplicate the backsplash problem. I will try again tonight and post if Im able to duplicate the issue again. I was at least happy to see that Mark was able to duplicate some of the same issues I was having with backsplashes. They appear to have found that it might have something to do with 0 wall layers. I will see if I can get it to do it again and post it.

Chad,
Ca. out of the box plan has one "0" layer. The other plan had three "0" layers. The "0" layer should not be causing the issue.William Page Architects A.I.A.
