Need a Deck with a metal 1" SQ mesh inside

I want the inside panel of the deck railing to show a 1" square grid. See sample picture the metal part that was used on the top of this fence. Click image for larger version.

    Hi Clare,

I made this custom texture with alpha channel for a 4" deck rail mesh. Maybe this will work for you?

    Thanks Spencer,
It looks great after I figured out how to put the Image in Chief Architect. But how do I get the image in as deck panel?

    Hi Clare,

I think I used a panel rail type and applied this texture to the panel. But you know I am not positive about that. I did this about 2 years ago. So I need to review my files again. Will try to get back shortly on that.

Sorry for the delayed response. I was left scratching my head for a few minutes because the final model was changed to use standard prefabricated panels for cost considerations. But I was able to confirm that I simply set the rail definition to "open" in the field. Then I traced the rail in plan view with a polyline, offset, and converted to molding using a tall thin profile (.25 inch thin). That will accept the grid texture and then adjust the scale of the texture and add a pattern for vector elevations. For the stairs I used poly solids in elevation (.25 inch thin). Sound good?

    Thank Spencer
Thanks, I got everything but the stair rail correct. This is how I did it
    1) Imported the material to my library and adjusted the color and size (named rail material).
    2) Rail style tab - select > panel - and Newel/Baluster -panel type framed (if this isn't selected no railing shows.
    3) Change the panel material to the new imported material (named rail material).
