Oh Lew, I apologize if I sound territorial in regards to the videos I do. As I have said on numerous occasions, I hope most people don't watch them, I don't need the competition. I do them because they help me understand the program, and then there are a few people that appreciate them. So to most people, don't watch them. Please watch CA's videos.

The videos we watch are not 100% gold, but if we find a gold nugget, the time spent viewing has a value.

We can please some of the people some of the time, but we can't please all the people all of the time..... but I will keep trying.

    Scott:

I watch any and all videos that are available

I like how you jump on a topic and explore it

I just wish you would take a minute at the end and summarize
    what works and what doesn't

maybe its my sleep deprivation disability but I get too confused most times

Ok guys, stop the fighting or I'll send my wife down there to B-slap you...I asked for help, if I wanted arguments I'd call my parents. Even in their 90s they won't stop nagging each other...More than likely keeps them alive.

So I watched the video by CA....Not near as exciting as I had hoped and comes no where near what I need to do. My assistant suggested I build two foundation walls and manually insert a footing and butt them up against one another. She's a smart cookie.....Or I may just drop this plan into ACAD and build the cross section there and fake the corbel in with hidden lines in the elevation views.

But I will send Dee Dee a link to this thread and ask for an official fix to the issue.... and marriage counselling for you guys.

BTW - you guys crack me up......Have a great weekend!

yep, a corbel foundation is different from a sunken ledger foundation
wasn't sure about that until you posted a pic

Lew, lucky for me I have experience with that as well....One of the downsides of being a father and grandfather....

Yes, idea is the same but the bearing points are considerably different. I tried what my assistant suggested and I failed. It's a pretty common wall so I'm working out a description of what it is I am trying to do....including the dreaded Softplan link. it's a common commercial application here on Canada's West Coast so I figure I'm not alone in my need for a much faster foundation build than reverting to ACAD for it. it's bad enough I'm not feeling secure with my CA design abilities, but to constantly reverting back to ACAD is not healthy. I moved over to CA for a good reason....My rant is completed, please return to drawing lines for your clients. And Happy Weekend everyone!
