Creating a side entry landing
Would anybody have a fool proof way of creating a side entry landing as seen in the attached pics. It would technically be between the basement level and the main floor level with stairs adjoining.

You need to create a landing "room" with invisible walls or invisible beams and lower the floor then attach the stairs as needed.

Walls to define the landing as a room. Invisible where needed. Stairwell to basement below is an "open below" room.
