    If you view those half walls in Floor Camera and click on one or all of them, you'll see your suspected invisible walls indeed exist.

    For a fix, not without some restrictions, try this: Place soffit, then set up crown, then place half walls... Works well, seems to stay 'fixed' unless soffit or respective half walls are changed. (If so, you have to revert to "Try this: First, place your soffit...")

    My take-away, a) moldings and soffits won't build thru a wall (of any kind), but b) walls will in some instances build thru moldings and soffits. If this is the case, don't know if this is a bug, suppose there has to be a priority to prevent 3d weirdness. "Workaround" is sequence.
