multiple Deck Framing on same layer ?

I have a house with an upper deck and needing a deck on the lower basement level.
I drew the decks on separate levels BUT the framing in plan view shows on the basement level for both.
Not good when you only want to detail the lower deck framing. Am I missing something?

Yes, you are missing something. I bet you have not built the foundation. Build the foundation and the deck joists for the first floor will show on foundation/ZERO LEVEL. I had not noticed this until you asked the question.

Scott - there is a foundation. Framing for floor 1 deck and basement deck show on basement level (0).
I had to create a new layer for the upper level framing and turn off the display.

I am still working on it. You ever seen the UCSD library, that was the look I was going for. Do you think it would help if I changed the wood siding to stucco.
