Sorry, I already donated mine and my partners
If you can't find one here
try buying a copy of 9.5 on Ebay or maybe even a newer version
for an XP PC you could consider ver 10 or X1 or X2 and maybe not pay too much
I would avoid X3 due to the compicated mess CA made of the library
and you would be unable to get the library items anyway
X1 and ver 10 came with the core library on the DVD
don't remember if the DVD had the manuf. and bonus libs
or you could consider getting the current Home Designer PRO for $495
it has a zillion more features than Chief 9.5 does
and you could apply that cost towards Chief X5 or X6 etc
once you realize what an antique ver 9.5 is

I have the same problem with my ver 9.5 hardware lock. Can't believe CA wont assist with new hardware lock or converting to a software lock (password). I guess it's too easy to say "No" hoping you'll just spend another $1k to upgrade. Ver 9.5 may be antique compared to current versions but it does everything I need it to do, dont need or use the 3D options a lot so no need to upgrade. Its a $50 fix at best not a $1k plus upgrade. Since I have nothing to lose, does anyone know if these hardware locks can be taken apart and rebuilt, the metal USB connector has pulled away from the plastic 'lock'. I can draw/build houses, this USB lock can't be that hard.

Ca claims they don't have any in stock
at this point I think you are SOL
unless you can find someone willing to donate theirs
you could check your user license etc
as back then CA was offering lifetime tech support
good luck on getting them to comply with that tho....
