Backdrop is black & white after crash

My computer froze during a ray trace. I re-start the computer and not only the active back drop is black & white, but all of the JPEG back drops are.
The preview dbx shows them in color but when I set them in my perspective view they are black & white.

I have checked the color on-off toggle and is is set to on.

    Any ideas?

With that video card, try turning off " Hardware Edge Smoothing" in the Render DBX. That has helped people in the past.

    Perry,
Thank you for your suggestion but I was not successful.
The interesting thing is that the backdrop after the ray trace is in color. Only in the perspective view does the backdrop appear in black & white.
