Solid fill not showing up when printing out from layout

    Hi

I have just started using Chief X5. When I save my files to PDF or print them out, the Fill Style in any of my polylines (boxes etc) does not come out, it completely disappears. When you view the layout page prior to printing or saving it all looks good, but when you save or print it just comes out blank, and any lines that I have lightened e.g. from black to a medium grey, just come out black. This makes no difference if I save in B&W or colour. I have never had this happen before. Interestingly, any other Fill Style I use e.g. concrete, sand etc still comes out with the pattern in it but it goes black also. Also on my floor plan, my interior/exterior wall fill does not show up either unless it is black
Any ideas please? Is this something to do with Fonts?Click image for larger version.

Probably nothing to do with fonts.
Could be the PDF Printer you use.
I use PDFill to print to PDF, works well.

Try making a pdf first. Then print the pdf. It sounds like you are printing directly from the layout. It might help.

Looks like you are printing with color off set to be black and white. Light colored fills will go white while darker ones will go black.

In preferences select "Color off is grayscale".

Before you print select the "Print Preview" option to verify how things will look when you print.

Hi Doug, Yep I do all this, color is ticked as grayscale, print preview is in black and white. I have tried printing orsaving it to PDF with color chosen, but it still reverts to black and white. Getting desperate now as need to get plans out. Another thing that happens when I open a layout page (may or may not be related to this problem is attached)

Any help would be appreciatedClick image for larger version.

To avoid further guessing it is probably time to post the plan.
