Attic rooms

How do I create a room in an attic space. I think I need to create another floor but how do I lower the walls to only the underside of what woukld be the roof?

yes, you should create another floor - floor A can't have rooms defined

check out the videos and help articles on CA's website on doing one and one-half story plans
and bonus rooms etc

if I remember correctly the trick is to set the ceiling height to a few inches - generate the roof
then turn off auto-roof rebuild and then set the ceiling height as needed

then maybe add some knee walls as needed

Or build your roof first than add the floor and draw your walls, the walls will stop at the roof automatically
