move objects with arrow keys in elevations

in plan view I can select an object (door) and move it using my arrow keys. In elevation view pressing the arrow key scrolls the plan. Is there some type of key combination I can click to override this and simply move my object. Allot easier to fine tune a position with the arrows then the mouse. Thanks
